Educational Nature Trail
The educational nature trail is designed to be a circular route. On the corner of Klosterdorfer Weg and Strausberger Strasse is an adventure area that is set up to be a central meeting point complete with a festival area and sledding hill. Display plaques showing flora and fauna, as well as signs on trees, shrubs and other plants, provide visitors with interesting facts along the way. For example, one such marked station shows the jumping distances of animals such as deer, rabbits, and mice and children have the opportunity to try out their own jumping distance. A small path goes through the “witch’s fairytale forest”, where one can discover colorful goblins. Nesting boxes attract various birds and the squirrels know exactly where best to ask for treats.
